Join Us for an Equal Pay Day Rally

April 12 is Equal Pay Day. This day marks how far into the new year a woman must work on average to earn as much as a man earned the previous year. Regardless of education and experience, in nearly every occupation women are still paid less than men - only 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. Join the YWCA and fourteen other organizations at noon on Equal Pay Day at Daley Center Plaza to support working women. Lieutenant Governor Sheila Simon will speak, as well as prominent equal pay advocates Evelyn Murphy of The WAGE Project and Doris Moy of the Illinois Department of Labor. To RSVP, click here.
